Snow-Balls

After days of perfect sunshine, we awoke to angry weather. We initially planned to head up town but the strong ‘north-easter’ forced us back downtown in search of a hearty Chinese noodle soup. We found sanctuary in a steaming bowl of duck noodle soup at the Great NY Noodletown Restaurant on Bowery Street. As the day went on, the rain turned to snow and began to punch us in the face. Unperturbed, we kept our diner plans for Numero 28 (more magnificent pizza), arriving in heavy snow at 7.30pm. The waitress at Numero 28 told us it was January weather and she hated it. She said they only had about 6 weeks of real summer and longed to be able to wear a t-shirt. It made us realise how lucky we were.
