Last Exit to Brooklyn

After a leisurely sleep in, we headed out in perfect 18 degree weather. After the snow of Wednesday, it was very welcome. We decided to go back to Williamsburg to check out their weekend flea market and soak up some more of the atmosphere. The streets were packed with hipsters as we walked the length and breadth of the groovy neighbourhood. We started our visit with a couple of street tacos each washed down with Coronas as we sat on the steps in the sun. In the late afternoon, we again rode the East River ferry back to Wall Street and then walked up to Chinatown for our last meal. We arrived at Thai-Son at 6pm and feasted on BBQ chicken and beef before waddling home. We then packed our bags for tomorrow’s flight to LA and fell into bed, completely exhausted. Even though NY's marathon was cancelled last Sunday, we managed to run our own over the last 10 days. We are now looking forward to the luxury of our car hire in California. We are also looking forward to embracing another food group that isn't round.
